FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
June 6, 2024

BuildingAction today released the following statement about the Department of Energy's release of phase one of a National Definition for a Zero Emissions Building for the private sector.

"BuildingAction, the national coalition that joins the creators and users of buildings to advance policies that spur the transformation of America’s built environment, welcomes the administration’s release of a standardized definition of net zero buildings.
"Our members, ranging from global companies like Trane Technologies, Carrier and Somfy, to leading organizations like IAPMO and the International Facility Management Association, are leading the charge towards buildings that use less energy and water and release zero greenhouse gas emissions.
"This definition helps provide the building sector with a roadmap to ensure that our nation’s building stock continues to move towards zero emissions."
